Links to Internal web sites

As this is meant to be a collaborative workspace, does it make sense to allow links to Intranet sites (internal company websites)? As all the companies need to be able to see the postings on the collaborative workspace, there does not seem to be a lot of point in allowing Intranet links to be used.

For instance, if Iain Coucher had said something about rolling stock in his latest blog (he hasn't), I could add the link

connect/Blog/IainCoucher/2007/October/RailExpansionFever.aspx

but only Network Rail employees would be able to see what he said, all the other users of the workspace would just find a broken link.

If the workspace did not allow you to put in Intranet links, it would remind you that any text that was important to other companies needed to be manually copied into the posting.
